Weekend Visit

This last weekend my sister and her boys come out for a visit.  It was kinda a spur of the moment thing as she is looking for a new job and didnt know if she would have the weekend off, but she did so Friday I went to pick her up.  We thought we would stop at the Drum Corn Maze and wow was is ever hard.  It looks small and so we thought no big deal, but there is 6 checkpoints to find and the whole thing is shaped like a dinosaur head.  And it was a lot harder than it looked like it should be.  It took us over an hour to find our way through.

Then we headed down to see the other dinosaurs in town (which are on every corner)  and the town has painted them all up this summer so they look good.  One was painted like Dino from Flinstones, lol.

Then we stopped at the Suspension Bridge in Rosedale and the kids thought that was kinda scary cause you can see through the bottom.

And we stopped at the Dorothy Bridge and that was kinda cool, they never seen a one lane bridge before.

They were pretty excited to come out here cause they so wanted to go camping so we said they could set up the tent in the backyard and they loved that!  They really wanted to go far away from the house but we did not want to camp and thought it best they were a little closer.  So they picked a spot and we set it up.  And of course we had to have a fire in our fire bowl and roast hotdogs, mmm.

And that was only the first day!

Vacations in the country should be part of every kid's life.
